Budweiser Clydesdale Super Bowl Commercial Teaser: A Hero's Welcome

Many people were moved by the Budweiser Clydesdales' special commercial--it only aired once--for the heroes of the 911 tragedy in New York. Get ready to be moved again during this Sunday's Super Bowl, as the Clydesdale perform a hero's welcome.

I don't generally think of the Clydesdale hitch as political, but I do think of them as patriotic. They'll be reminding us of just how patriotic on Sunday, as they ask the entire United States and extended global audience to #salute our returning veterans from Afghanistan and Iraq.

We always say, "How can you top that?" when it comes to this commercial (below) but Budweiser is going to try to do just that this Sunday.

One of the two ads that will feature the hitch in Sunday's Super Bowl will be focused on a recent Budweiser Clydesdale surprise welcome home to Lieutenant Charles Nadd, a Blackhawk helicopter pilot who arrived from Afghanistan to his hometown of Winter Park, Florida to find nothing less than a hero's welcome.

With luck, this news video (below) will play and you can have a preview of what one of Sunday's Budweiser ads will be! A documentary film is planned, as well as the commercial. Nadd was selected by the Defense Department for this honor.
